A small-setting, afterschool program providing mentoring, academic enrichment, and career exploration for middle school youth. Each summer we take the students on an 'untraditional' summer camp experience out-of-state allowing them to learn and explore beyond their zip code. I love how the Konnection goes out of their way for all of the students and they bring such a positive impact on my child. The mentors and ms. Resource closets within schools offering youth complimentary hygiene items, non-perishable foods, school supplies, and clothing throughout the school year. Operating in an intimate setting, The Kloset additionally facilitates social-emotional workshops, career exploration sessions, and life skills programs. These spaces nurture youth-led discussions on pressing teen issues such as bullying and mental health, creating a supportive environment for building relationships with peers and establishing intergenerational connections.
